Simultaneous interpretation – translation in real time
Simultaneous interpreting saves a lot of time and is especially useful for multilingual conferences and meetings.
Simultaneous interpreters translate what is spoken in real time. They work in teams of two in a soundproof interpreting booth or – in small meetings – with a mobile interpreting or whispering system. Due to the concentration required, they swap places every 30 minutes.
The audience can then follow what is being said in their own language via headphones.
